Trying out Globe’s Unlichat (no luck with Smart Uzzap)

ym-unlichatThis post should have been “A look into the Smart’s Uzzap and Globe’s Unlichat” but after several attempts at getting Smart’s Uzzap application installed on my mobile phone I’ve just given up on using it. I’ve gotten to the point that after several attempts I was able to install the software but I just couldn’t login in. I hope you had better luck than I did. It would have been nice to see how they paired up on their Instant Messaging services.

Downloading of the Globe Unlichat application happened with actually no frills. I went to the unlichat web page, typed my mobile phone number. Globe sent me a link for the application download and I got the application installed on my mobile phone in no time. The application doesn’t seem to work over wifi if you have a wifi-equipped mobile phone. You’ll have to use the Globe network to use it.

Yahoo! Go version 3.0

A lot of you have probably used or tried Yahoo! Go 1.0 on their mobile phone. Version 1 of Yahoo’s mobile application isn’t Java but it was cool to use on my Nokia N80 mobile phone. A while back, I received an email from Yahoo saying they have to discontinue Yahoo Go v1 (I was actually using 1.5 on my cell phone) and that I should download Yahoo Go v2.0

Free Instant Messaging on your Mobile Phone

Gizmo5Nowadays, it’s pretty easy to get in touch with your friends and family. An Internet connection, a computer and your favorite instant messaging application should be all you need to keep in touch. But what if you’re out of the house or office. I found out that I can still be able to chat with them using my mobile phone using a Java mobile application like the one from gizmo5.
