Sony Ericsson is actively supporting the growing third-party developer community in India and the response to the new Sony Ericsson Developer World Awards has been considerable. The submission deadline is now extended to January 31, 2009 giving Indian developers more time to take the first step towards becoming a “Sony Ericsson Certified Developer”.

A new mobile application that enables easy diagnosis of patients in remote areas has been developed to run on Android. The software called Moca integrates the Android based medical diagnosis application with the open source OpenMRS medical records database system.
