Well, it’s the moment a lot of us have been waiting for. NetBeans 6.5 final has been released. I’ve decided to visit the NetBeans home page just now and what do you know — NetBeans 6.5 is now available, so go get it. I’m downloading it right now.

Nokia has announced the top 10 developers of its Mobile Games Innovation Challenge. The winners, to be announced at an exclusive awards ceremony later this month, will take home a total prize value of EUR 70,000.

If you’re usinig NetBeans 6.1, you can start updating the IDE. Patch level 4 is now available for downlnoad from the NetBeans update manager.

Eclipse Mobile Tools for Java 0.9 gets released

The MTJ project of the Eclipse Foundation has released version 0.9 of the Mobile Tools for Java. Mobile Java developer support under Eclipse gets better and better thanks to the Guys at Motorola. And of course lets not forget the initial work done by Craig of EclipseME fame.

Java ME 3.0 SDK download available

An early access download of the Java ME 3.0 SDK is now available for Windows XP and Vista from Sun Developer Network. Notable features include LWUIT integration, Blu-ray and Windows mobile support.

Just came across this and I’m really curious as to what is being offered, visited their site but no contact info. Some information on their site indicates that the analytics service is free and provides J2ME, iPhone and Android developers a way to improve their applications and earn more revenue.

ME Framework 1.2.1 released

Version 1.2.1 of the ME framework under the cqME Project has been released. cqME is a project dedicated to the compatibility and quality testing for the Java ME platform. The ME framework provides support in creating tests for J2ME.
