Getting artistic with ethernet cat5 cables

While browsing this morning I came across this cool way harness your artistic gifts with an ordinary category-5 ethernet cable. Gizmodo posted this neat creations of soldiers and all sorts of armaments by fresh99. I agree Gizmodo, it’s something that’s definitely worth an art exhibit. My favorite is the photo of different weapons — I never thought you can build so much firepower with mere wires! I hope they all have proper permits and licenses.

Site of the Week: Creative and artistic bricks

This week, I found this guy who maintains a flickr site of some creative and artistic creations using Lego bricks. If you’re into Lego, you can find some very good renditions of popular things all made of Lego bricks! For instance, take a look at the Lego equivalent of the trains we have played with during childhood. Not just as big as the setup below which is complete with it’s own suspension bridge!

Come and join the Photoshop contest

If you’re one cool dude who has a knack in using image editing tools like Adobe’s Photoshop (I know some pretty gifted people in the Philippines). Maybe you should take a shot at joining the contest over at Gizmodo. I just love the Photoshop contest at Gizmodo. Shows a lot of people have real talent. It’s also fun browsing at the contest entries.

This time, the topic is about creating a image showing an iPhone software application that Apple will never ever approve. Here’s one example:
