Vivendi Mobile Games employees creates Talented People: Android outfit?

With all the layoffs happening globally because of the economic crisis, a group of former Vivendi Games Mobile employees who found themselves needing a job took matters into their own hands. They have created “Talented People”. Is “Talented People” an Android open mobile platform outfit?

Actually it’s not. It’s a web site containing the resumes (CV) of a group of former Vivendi Games Mobile employees.

When I visited the web site, a quick glance into the kind of people that had left Vivendi Games Mobile struck me. In my opinion, these whole team can practically create a mobile game development outfit for the Android mobile platform (with maybe a bit of training for the programmers — but that shouldn’t be hard since they know Java from J2ME and Android is a Java environment).

Take a look at the Talented People web site. You have Production/R&D, marketing, sales, finance, HR, public relations and even legal. That’s practically a whole company who knows how to create mobile games. It makes me wonder why on earth would Activision, the new mother company of Vivendi Games Mobile due to it’s merger, would want to let go of such talented people.

Maybe Gameloft is seeking to expand its Android development team? I hope there’s no “non-compete clause” in the former Vivendi Games Mobile employees.

Anyway if you’re looking for talent or you’re a talent looking for a job, you can visit the Talented People web site.

  1. Thank you for the article and your support Gerry. You talk about Gameloft which could be a potential recruiter for many of these people but other recruiters are to be considered as well. Many profiles from Talented People are willing to move all over the world. Recruiters you are just one click away from great potentials. Make sure you have them on board before your competitors…
