Ubuntu Linux gets Adobe Air 1.5 runtime and SDK
Adobe has been very busy making it’s software available for the Linux platform. Now it has released version 1.5 of Adobe Air for Linux, Mac and Windows. I hope they’d come around to release some of their other software as well like Photoshop and Dreamweaver for instance.
If you haven’t yet installed Adobe Air on your Ubuntu setup. You may want to try it now. The installation on Ubuntu went like a breeze on my notebook. After downloading and installing it, I got a copy of Twhirl, an Air-based twitter client, to test it. Using the Adobe Air application installer, I had Twhirl running on my Ubuntu desktop in no time — it works.

Aside from the runtime, Adobe has also made available the Adobe Air SDK for developers who use Linux.
