Ubuntu 9.04 (Jaunty Jackalope) Alpha 1 released

For those of you who wants to give the latest / bleeding edge of Ubuntu, you can now download Ubuntu 9.04 (Jaunty Jackalope) alpha 1 from the Ubuntu download site. I checked the Ubuntu download site and only cd images for the alternate install and server discs are available.

Ubuntu 8.10 may not have even settled into your computer right now. I for one have yet to upgrade to Intrepid but I am curious about the new features in Ubuntu Jaunty. The alpha release already contains Firefox 3.04, Gimp 2.6.2, Pidgin 2.5.2 but Open Office is still at the 2.4.1 release.

Remember that this is just an alpha release and not fit for production use.
