Upgrade to Gmail 2.0 on your mobile phone
Google has released an update to it’s Gmail client for mobile phones. The new version, which is now 2.0, offers some very useful features.
One of the most notable feature of Gmail 2.0 is multiple accounts. You can now use the Gmail client for mobile phones to access multiple account on gmail. No more logging in and out. Just add all your accounts into it and switch to the accounts by simply selecting it from the menu.
Another new feature is creating multiple mobile drafts. If you’re always mobile and your phone has a qwerty keyboard, This is going to be very useful for putting down your ideas/drafts to email responses that you can later finalize.
Other new features include:
- Shortcut keys. Undo, scroll up and down, archive, delete, refresh at the push of a button. See Menu/Help in the app. (not all mobile phones supported)
- Basic offline. Compose and read your most recent email even when you’re on the subway or plane. (not all mobile phones supported)
- Language Support. Gmail for mobile 2.0 is available in over 35 languages.
