NetBeans version 6.5 in the horizon

I won’t question the GREAT support for J2ME development in the upcoming NetBeans 6.5 (or even in 6.0) but I can’t help but notice the really promising features of PHP development under the near final NetBeans 6.5. The PHP NetBeans team is really pouring it on to provide a good PHP IDE inside NetBeans.

I am an Eclipse user and one of the things why I am using Eclipse is the available support for PHP development but I must say that NetBeans PHP support is looking better and better as NetBeans 6.5 final gets nearer.

I especially like the amount of work that they have done to support Javascript which will not only benefit PHP developers but also Java web application developers as well.

If you’re someone who is about to learn PHP development, would you use NetBeans or Eclipse? ‘Coz if it where J2ME development NetBeans wins hands down.

Even installing the Nokia S60 SDK for J2ME under NetBeans was simply a breeze. Which reminds me, now that I’m using Ubuntu most of the time, I suddeny realize that the Nokai S60 SDK for J2ME only runs under Windows. :-(

Anybody out there knows if the Nokia S60 SDK for J2ME has been made to work under Linux?
