Upcoming Java mobile games from Vivendi

Just got news of some upcoming Java mobile games this first quarter of 2008 from Vivendi Games Mobile. The four mobile games that will be coming out soon are Pub Darts, Wordox, Celebrity Hangman and Spiderwick.

Pub Darts 180 – With my liking to playing darts, I’m quite eager to see what this one has to offer. Not much info yet but besides being able to select your own character and playing 4 modes (501, Clock, Survivor and Pub Tour) this mobile game has multiplayer features (I don’t see myself drinking beer and playing darts on the mobile phone with friends but it’s still worth looking forward to the game. ).

Celebrity Hangman – No need to explain how this works. A twist of the game is that this community driven Java mobile game allows for interaction by connecting to a web site. You will also be able to download fresh lists of words. Create your own list on the People’s Choice Hangman web site and if you get selected your list will be featured in new download packs.

Spiderwick Chronicles – The Spiderwick Chronicles mobile game brings the seen-and-unseen world of the Spiderwick universe to your mobile phone. You take on the roles of three adventurous and inquisitive youngsters, encounter amazing creatures – both friendly and hostile – and race to stop a rising danger that threatens the real world. Fight against goblins, trolls, ogres, snakes & find the secret boss.

Wordox – Based on the popular online PC franchise, Wordox is a time-based, competitive word game, in which the objective is to steal the letters of your opponent and to be the first to reach a defined score. Fun, stress and challenge in the same game: for the first time, you steal the points of your opponents. This popular PC game will be available soon on your mobile phone and has multiplayer functions that allows up to 4 players.
