Assassin’s Creed mobile game by Gameloft

Gameloft Assassin’s Creed screen shot 1With the New Year coming and if you’re looking to buy a new mobile game, buy the Assassin’s Creed Java mobile game by Gameloft. I’m currently playing a copy of the Assassin’s Creed Java mobile game and it’s simply a mobile game that you should buy.

The Assassin’s Creed mobile game is set during the Christian Crusade era. Altair, the main character, is tasked to assassinate different knights / templars

To start with, the graphics of the mobile game is very good and well made. The 2D graphics are some of the best I’ve seen in a mobile game. Gameloft has taken the extra effort of putting in extra details like the rays of the sun shining or the objects showing outside a window while you are walking inside a castle.

But I think what makes the game really good are the list of acrobatic and super cool movements that Altair (the main character in the game) can do. From the very first mission, I was simply amazed at the pretty impressing movements that Altair can do. And the best thing is that you don’t have to master any complicated set of keystrokes to do them.

I never realized that such creativity in making different kinds of movements can really produce such an impact on such a simple type of game.

Each level of game play is pretty exciting on its own and sorts of “hide” the typical adventure-type objective of mobile games in this category. As each level progress, the game introduced something new that kept me glued to my seat and keep playing the game — I guess I need to stop and tell you about it so that you can buy the game and experience it for yourself ;-)

Assassin’s Creed really stands out in it’s category. The levels have been made in such a manner that you won’t need to worry about keystrokes and concentrate on the game itself. It also lets you be creative in finding out how to overcome certain situations in order to reach an objective. Puzzled in going from point A to point B? Well think! What object can you use to achieve the goal?

I’m so impressed by the game that I decided to create a “graphic banner award” for javamidlet.com. So I’m giving Assassin’s Creed the “Javamidlet.com Recommended Java Mobile Game” award.

  2. Hi, I definitely think this is a cool game, but it looks a bit like a rip-off of their Prince of Persia engine with some new graphics.
