Which mobile phone is perfect for mobile gaming?

Mobile phonesI’ve been playing games on the mobile phone for quite a while and I often wonder, “Is there really such a thing as a perfect mobile gaming phone?” What features should it have? What should it look like?

Two things come to my mind when I play mobile phone games. The video display and the keypad.

The video display on mobile phones have been evolving for quite a while and with the way it’s going, it will continue for quite a while. We are now only seeing screen resolutions of 640 x 480, 800 x ???. But what is the current mobile phone brand and model that would be perfect for mobile phone games?

Design constraints limit the size at which a keypad can exist. What would be the optimum size and positioning of the keypad for mobile phone games? With the increasing trend towards touch screen displays, will this be a better keypad for mobile games?

Sound is another factor for mobile games. The sound on mobile phones have reached a certain level of maturity that on the newest mobile phones sound quality is already very good. Another factor seems to be the ability to control the loudness of the sound. Some mobile games are still unable to provide volume control to limit the loudness of the background music. As technology improves maybe we would experience mobile games that “talk”.

Other things that can be considered are phone vibration ability for added user experience, bluetooth/wifi for multiplayer gaming.

But is there really such a mobile phone? A perfect or close to perfect mobile phone for mobile games?
